The Brown keys (ideally) require less force compared to most other keyboards, but I found that the BlackWidow Stealth's keys had a slightly sticky feeling when typing. The Blue switch utilizes a tactile and clicky switch, and has a closer release and actuation point. In my opinion, the noise return is still greater than what you'd get out of a standard keyboard, and its application on the Stealth has left the typing experience a little stiffer than the standard BlackWidow, which utilizes Blue switches. The Cherry MX Brown, used in the Stealth Edition, provides a quieter typing experience, but only slightly.
